The UCD Michael Smurfit School has moved up five places in the (opens in a new window)Financial Times European Business Schools Rankings. It is now ranked at 24th in Europe in the FT ranking, up from 29th last year.
The UCD Smurfit School is the only business school at an Irish university in the top 50 of the FT European Business School Rankings.
“As Ireland’s top post-graduate business school, UCD Smurfit School continues to benchmark itself against the very best business schools both in Europe and throughout the world so we are pleased to see ongoing progress in this prestigious independent ranking,” said Professor Anthony Brabazon, Dean, UCD Business.
“However, our commitment to improving our reputation as a centre for excellence for postgraduate business education continues to be a key focus and strategic ambition as we continue to invest in faculty and facilities to drive incremental improvements for the benefit of our students.”
The Financial Times European Business Schools Rankings are a “ranking of rankings” measuring schools’ quality and breadth of programmes.
The following courses are individually ranked: full-time MBA; executive MBA; Master in Management (MiM); and executive education open and customised programmes.
The acknowledgement by the Financial Times is the latest external independent validation the School has obtained this year.
The full-time MSc in International Management was ranked 15th globally in the Financial Times rankings in October. Earlier this year, the MSc in Finance was positioned 36th in the world with Smurfit Executive Development Open Enrolment programmes ranked 48th globally by the FT.
