UCD’s Veterinary Science in top 25 and Nursing in top 50 in the QS World Rankings

The (opens in a new window)QS World University Rankings by Subject, published today, ranks UCD in 34 subjects and each of the five broad subject areas. Of the 48 subject areas listed by QS, UCD offers 45.
The highest ranked of these, Veterinary Science is now ranked 24th in the world and Nursing has moved into the top 50, at 31.
Outside the top 50, QS groups the rankings into bands of 50.
UCD has 12 subjects in the top 100, with Architecture and Social Policy moving into this band:

UCD has 30 subjects in the top 200.
To compile these rankings, QS evaluated over 4,000 universities and ranked 1,130 institutions in total. The most heavily weighted scores are for surveys completed by over 75,000 academics and over 45,000 employers, who are asked to list universities they believe, have top quality reputations. In addition, close to 200 million citations attributions were analysed from the Scopus/Elsevier bibliometric database as a measure of research impact and QS verified the provision of over 18,900 academic programs.
