Financial Times: UCD Smurfit number one in Ireland as it leaps to 22nd in European Business Schools Rankings

For the seventh consecutive year the (opens in a new window)Financial Times (FT) has named (opens in a new window)UCD Michael Smurfit Graduate Business School among the top 30 in Europe.

In the latest (opens in a new window)FT European Business Schools Ranking, the UCD School has been ranked 22nd – an increase of six places from its listings in 2021.

Considered the 'ranking of rankings' in terms of measuring business schools’ quality and a range of ranked programmes, this latest rise in the FT European Business School Rankings for Smurfit “under underscores [its] vision to advance as a European-leading centre of excellence for rigorous, relevant, business education and research.” said (opens in a new window)Professor Anthony Brabazon, Dean of UCD College of Business.

Adding: “This ranking underlines UCD Smurfit School’s status as Ireland’s leading business school and one of an elite group of global business educators.”

Considered as part of the 2022 ranking were a number of UCD Smurfit School programmes including, the (opens in a new window)Full-Time MSc in International Management, which is ranked 8th globally by the FT, and the (opens in a new window)Executive MBA which is ranked 39th in Europe and 69th globally by the paper.

(opens in a new window)UCD Smurfit Executive Development achieved a FT ranking of 22nd in Europe and 31st globally for its Open Enrolment programmes.

The individual programme rankings take into account graduate outcomes, including salary and career progress, as well as factors such as quality of research and international and gender diversity of students and faculty.
