28th December 2010: Belfield Campus Phone System Fault
There is currently a problem with the campus phone system, several lines are affected including the UCD Services First Response Room. Telecom engineers are working to resolve this issue.
During this period the UCD Services First Response Room can be contacted on 087 9690708.

GOAL Mile - Saturday 25th December
As Belfield track is unfit for use and the campus has been closed to visitors, the annual GOAL Mile has been cancelled. GOAL hopes that the run will take place at many of the scheduled venues in Dublin and around the country. For details of locations: http://www.goal.ie/GOAL_Mile/146

Tuesday 21st December: URGENT ANNOUNCEMENT: All exams for Wednesday 22nd December are postponed
Due to the deterioration in weather conditions and the increased problems relating to transport, UCD has taken the decision to postpone all exams on Wednesday 22nd December.
The university has a contingency plan for such conditions and has rescheduled the postponed exams for 17th and 18th January in the RDS.
Belfield and Blackrock campuses remain closed on Wednesday 22nd.

UCD Choral Scholars – Christmas Concert
Wednesday 22nd December
Due to weather conditions, this concert has been cancelled. UCD Alumni Relations apologises for this cancellation and wishes graduates and friends a happy and safe Christmas.

Tuesday 21st December: URGENT ANNOUNCEMENT - All examinations scheduled for 6.00pm on Tuesday 21st December and all exam sessions on Wednesday 22nd December postponed

As it has only been possible to scrape tarmac carparks to remove snow and ice, gravel carparks have not been cleared, there is limited parking on campus and the use of public transport is recommended.

Language Exams
The Language exams timetabled for the Blackrock Exam Centre on Friday, 3rd and Saturday, 4th December have been rescheduled to Wednesday, 8th and Thursday, 9th December.
- Friday, 3rd December Language exams will take place in Blackrock on Wednesday, 8th December at 2.00pm
- Saturday, 4th December Language exams will take place in Blackrock on Thursday, 9th December at the same times of 10.00am, 12.00pm, 2.00pm and 4.00pm.

UCD Belfield & Blackrock campuses closing at 2.00 pm / Lectures to finish at 12.00pm
Due to the deterioration in the weather conditions, lectures and events are finishing at 12 o’clock today and the Belfield & Blackrock campuses will close early at 2.00pm, for health and safety reasons.
Please take care as you leave the campus. Those using the carparks should take heed of bollards and road kerbs that may be difficult to see.
The President’s lunchtime seminar has been postponed and an update will be posted on the events calendar.
Given the weather forecast, it may be that the campus remains unavoidably closed tomorrow, Thursday 2 December. Please consult the website for updates.
Residential services remain open. Catering and studying arrangements have been made for students in residence. Please contact residence assistants (RAs) for details.

UCD Belfield campus is open
The cold weather is expected to continue for the rest of the week and visitors to the campus are advised to drive and walk carefully. Thanks to the work of the UCD Buildings and Services team, the pathways and roads are clear.
