Ninth Annual Irish European Law Forum
“Enhancing Corporate Governance in the European Union”
The Irish European Law Forum held its 9th annual conference in Newman House, St. Stephen's Green, on December 10th. The Forum meets annually under the auspices of the School of Law of University College Dublin, and takes the form of an experts' meeting to critically analyse a specific topic of European Union law.
The Forum brings together European Court of Justice and national judges, academics, legal practitioners and European Union and government officials. Operating under the Chatham House rules, it is conducive to the expression of frank, forthright and insightful debate.
This year the Forum’s topic was “Enhancing Corporate Governance in the European Union”. Session titles included “Overview of Developments in European Corporate Governance”, “Enhancing Corporate Governance Practices” and “The Future of European Corporate Governance”.
