25 Jan 2007 - 'Science at UCD' Information Evening
Venue: Global Irish Instiute
Time: 7.30pm
If you are interested in studying science, this is an ideal opportunity for you to meet with science students, graduates and academic staff to hear about, and discuss, Science Degree programmes at UCD.
University College Dublin has the largest science programme in the country, providing degree courses in biological, chemical, geological, mathematical, physical and computer sciences.
The College of Life Sciences and the College of Engineering, Mathematical and Physical Sciences provide teaching of the highest quality and carry out research of the highest international standard. UCD science graduates are in great demand in science-based employment in Ireland and internationally, and are equally sought after in areas outside of the science arena where rigorous training, numerical competency and analytical proficiency are required.
Many UCD science graduates continue their studies at postgraduate level, through Graduate Higher Diplomas, Master and PhD programmes in UCD or through postgraduate training in leading scientific laboratories all over the world.
At this science information evening, a series of short presentations outlining entry requirements, course content, and career opportunities will be followed by a question and answer session where you can ask any specific questions you may have about studying science at UCD.
