UCD Smurfit School of Business maintains its presence in Financial Times global MBA rankings
UCD Smurfit School of Business has once again maintained its presence in the top 100 in the Financial Times highly competitive global MBA rankings published on 30 January 2006. This year 11 new business schools were admitted to the rankings out of approximately 2,500 schools worldwide.
Commenting on the rankings, Professor Tom Begley, the new Dean of UCD Business Schools said, "While naturally we are pleased to be included in these rankings the increased competitiveness among business schools across the globe highlights the need for ongoing investment in business education. We have always benchmarked ourselves against the best schools in the world and will continue to do so; in recognition of this we have recently made a number of senior international appointments at the school."
This year the school was ranked 24th in Europe, average salaries of graduates increased by 5% when compared to the previous year and their career progress was ranked 23rd in the world.
