Heads-designate of School Announced.
Dr Hugh Brady, the President of UCD, has received and accepted the following nominations as Heads-designate of School. They will begin work immediately planning for the transition to new structures and the first year of operation of the new Schools, and will formally take up their appointment as interim Head of School on 1st September 2005.
These are critical appointments who, in conjunction with the interim College Principals, will lead the development of Schools and the smooth transition of programmes and responsibilities to the new structures.
The University has advertised the posts of Principal of each of the five Colleges, and appointments of Heads of School will be reviewed when the Principal of each College is appointed.
The appointment of an interim Vice-Principal for Research, Vice-Principal for Teaching and Learning, and Director of the Graduate School/Doctoral Programmes will be announced shortly for each College.
Current Deans, Associate Deans and Heads of Department will remain in office until the enactment of Statute 6 on the 1st September 2005. Their ongoing contribution to and engagement with the restructuring process is greatly appreciated.
