UCD Budweiser Sports Achievement Awards 2006
UCD sportsmen and women from 26 different sports clubs were presented with specially commissioned medals by the Vice-President for Students, UCD, Professor Mary Clayton at the UCD Budweiser Sports Achievement Awards ceremony on the 24 May 2006.

Over 400 UCD students have been honoured for their outstanding contributions to UCD Sport over the last 12 months.
Among those honoured were:
The Senior Hurling team, which won the Dublin County Championship
The Senior Hockey team, which won the Jacqui Porter Leinster Senior Cup
The Senior Basketball team, which won the University Championships
The Soccer teams, which won the Harding Cup, the Dr Tony O’Neill Under-21 League and the Leinster Senior League Major 1 Sunday Division
The Ladies Volleyball team, which won the University Championships and the English Student Cup
The Under-20 Rugby teams, which won the J.P. Fanagan League and the Purcell Cup
Jim Devlin recipient of the UCD Club Administrator of the Year Award,

The following special awards were also presented:
- Camogie player Deirdre Corcorcan was named as the Dr Tony O’Neill Sportsperson of the Year;
- Snowsports Club founder and former Sailing Club captain, Jim Devlin, was awarded the Gerry Horkan Club Administrator of the Year;
- Moira McElligot was named as the recipient of the David O’Connor Memorial Medal Veterinary College Sportsperson of the Year.
