Associate Professor Clare Corish chatting to an Taoiseach, Leo Varadkar, about the UCD School of Public Health, Physiotherapy and Sports Science-Airfield estate collaborative projects at Airfield Estate.
The UCD MSc in Clinical Nutrition and Dietetics students undertake a research dissertation in Year 2. The School of Public Health, Physiotherapy and Sports Science has collaborated with the Head of Education and Research in Airfield Estate, Dundrum, Dr Kirstie McAdoo, to provide opportunities for students to undertake research there. This research focuses on topical areas of importance such as children's understanding of the origins of their foods, children's breakfast consumption and adults' understanding of and attitudes towards food sustainability. Airfield Estate provides a wonderful learning environment for the students and data from their projects contribute to the development of education programmes for visitors to the Estate.
