Terms & Conditions
All offers of a place are subject to UCD's Terms and Conditions of Offer.
Students with the relevant and appropriate(opens in a new window) QQI-FET (formerly known as FETAC) Level 5/6 major awards and components, with a minimum of Distinction in five components, may be admitted on a competitive basis to the UCD courses listed below.
To apply for entry to UCD via the QQI-FET entry pathway, you must apply to the Central Applications Office (CAO). Detailed information about the application process and important dates is available on the (opens in a new window)CAO website. When entering your course choices in the application, it is important that you list them in your genuine order of preference.
Offers on the basis of QQI-FET qualifications normally issue in early August each year. Please visit the (opens in a new window)CAO website for offer round dates.
Applicants are offered the quota of places reserved for QQI-FET applicants. Places are limited and will be allocated based on the applicant’s score only. (opens in a new window)Please click here to visit the CAO website for details of the scoring scheme. Where more than one student has the same score, students will be ranked by the CAO on a random basis.
For all courses (except Health & Performance Studies, Sports & Exercise Management, Veterinary Nursing and all Nursing & Midwifery courses), the required components can be completed over multiple sittings leading to an appropriate major award. Due to the competitive nature of the specific courses mentioned above, scores will only be calculated where the appropriate major award is presented in a single sitting, together with all the required components and results.
You can see the requirements for QQI-FET entry to UCD courses below.
