Welcome to the UCD Academic Advising Pilot

Starting September 2024, academic advising will be piloted in five schools across the university. This website is specifically designed for students in the pilot to help you make the most of this new initiative. Explore the following pages to understand what to expect and how you can benefit:

Which Students are Included in the Pilot?

Academic advising is being piloted with undergraduate students in certain stages in the following five UCD schools:

  • School of Biomolecular and Biomedical Science - stages 3 and 4 (Senior Academic Advisor - Professor Geraldine Butler)
  • School of Irish, Celtic Studies and Folklore -  stage 1 (Senior Academic Advisor - Dr Kelly Fitzgerald)
  • School of Law -  stage 1 (Senior Academic Advisor - Associate Professor Cliona Kelly)
  • School of Nursing, Midwifery and Health Systems -  stage 1 (Senior Academic Advisor - Dr Michael Connolly)
  • School of Psychology -  stage 1 (Associate Professor Ciara Greene)

If your school and stage are included in the academic advising pilot, you will receive an email telling you what to do.
