Micro-lysis aims to understand the structure of microalgae cell walls (Nannochloropsis sp. and Chlorella sp.) and to use this understanding to develop a targeted enzymatic treatment for energy-efficient and non-degradative cell-wall disruption. The project is funded by the Irish Research Council.
