Lifelong Learning is open to all and provides a chance to explore a subject without any examination. You do not need to have attended further education or meet any formal education requirements to enjoy these classes.

Unemployed Lifelong Learning students and those in receipt of a non-contributory pension may be eligible for a 33% concession on fees. Similarly, those whose annual income is less than €13,000. UCD staff and alumni are eligible for a 10% fee concession.
To avail of your concession, please call 01 7167123 to book over the phone. We cannot apply fee concessions retrospectively or via online booking as it must be applied at the time of booking.
Lifelong Learning courses are held in a variety of locations including the Belfield campus, with a number of courses taking place in our cultural partners and some will take place online. The location, along with the day/time is listed in the brochure, on our website and also on your receipt. You will receive a final reminder of the day/time and location a couple of days before your class commences.
Depending on the location, there may be limited parking available, however, it will vary greatly. On the Belfield campus parking is free after 5:00 p.m., with the exception of premium rate hourly paid spaces and spaces associated with UCD Sports and Fitness. Please note that clamping is in operation, so students should park only in official car park spaces. Unfortunately, we cannot reset your password for you. But if you click on the ‘Forgot my Password’ link below your log-in, our colleagues in IT Services will be able to reset it for you.
We will be delivering most of our classes face to face with a selection of classes remaining online, via Zoom. Whether a class is online or face to face is indicated in our brochure.
We will send you a recurring Zoom link to your online class, via email. This link is valid for the duration of the course. To access the class, simply click on the link.
Zoom links are sent to students the day before class commences. If you book a class within 24 hours of the course commencing please contact (opens in a new window)all@ucd.ie to receive your Zoom link.
Booklists or reading lists are available online alongside the course descriptions. Your tutor can also guide you as to which reading might be most suitable, so please wait for the start of your course before making any purchases.
Lifelong Learning classes are rarely cancelled due to low enrolment. If this should happen, however, we will notify you in advance and try to offer you an alternative or issue you with a full refund.
On rare occasions, a class may need to be postponed due to tutor illness or unforeseen circumstances, such as inclement weather. We will endeavour to reschedule for the same day/time and location as soon as possible. However, if this is not possible the missed class may need to take place on Zoom.
