Grafton Architects receive the inaugural Outstanding Achievement in Architecture award
Wednesday, 29 January, 2025
Shelley McNamara and Yvonne Farrell, recipients of the Outstanding Contribution to Architecture Award at the Building and Architect of the Year Award 2017
UCD Architecture graduates Yvonne Farrell and Shelley McNamara directors at Grafton Architects have been awarded the inaugural Outstanding Achievement in Architecture award at the 2017 Building and Architecture Awards. The Award was presented at a black tie ceremony in the Mansion House on the 8th of June.
They are being awarded Outstanding Achievement for Architecture because Grafton Architects have designed buildings of note both in Ireland and abroad; including the Solstice Arts Centre, Meath; the Parson’s Building, Trinity College, Dublin; the Government Department of Finance for the Office of Public Works in Dublin; a new building for the Università Bocconi in Milan, Italy.
Earlier this year Farrell and McNamara were appointed as the curators of the Venice Biennale Architecture Exhibition in 2018 , which is an amazing achievement and a fantastic opportunity showcase our talented Irish Architects.
