Streetlife Design Competition: special mention for landscape graduates
Thursday, 30 March, 2023
"Streetlife Design Competition is organized by a Dutch urban furniture manufacturer Streetlife and La ndezine – Landscape Architecture Platform. The call for entries was open between May and December 2022. Students and young professionals from the field of landscape architecture and other professions related to the design and development of open public space were invited to participate. Registrants needed to select a “lost site”, and develop a proposal for a redesign."
The competition reached its grand finale this past weekend in Hooglandse Church in Leiden, Netherlands. The 12 finalist teams presented their projects, and the six recognitions, 1st, 2nd and 3rd prize and 3 special mentions, were announced.
The winning projects are published on streetlifedesigncompetition. com
UCD Landscape Architecture's Barbara Lidia Steczkiewicz and Evan Bailey's entry was awarded one of those special mentions for City Lungs - Landscape Blocks on Sites Lost to High Rise Development.
Our congratulations to you both.
