Adjunct Associate Professor of Planning and Environmental Policy

Dr. John McCartney is Director of Research at BNP Paribas Real Estate Ireland, the property arm of Europe’s largest bank. In addition he lectures on the property economics and real estate programmes in TU Dublin, is on the Editorial Board of the Journal of Property Research and is a member of the RTB Research Committee. John is an economist and specialises in commercial property. John has first class bachelor’s and master’s degrees from NUI, and a doctorate from Ulster University.

Niall Buckley

Niall is involved in R&D at a climate tech firm, IES. Before joining IES, he completed his PhD at University College Dublin (UCD) and was a visiting PhD Researcher at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). Niall specializes in developing technology that supports the holistic improvement of our existing and future built environments using digital twin technologies.
