Bike Library
The Bike Library project offers families the chance to borrow e-bikes, cargo bikes, or foldable bikes for free during the school term. This "try before you buy" approach aims to promote sustainable, active travel for daily commutes. Initially, ten schools, including Assumption Senior GNS in Walkinstown, will participate in the Spring/Summer term, followed by more schools in September for three months. The University College Dublin provides and manages the bikes, with funding from the Department of Transport through the National Transport Authority’s Active Travel Programme.
