The Programme for Government initiated a Land Use Review to guide optimal land use decisions. Phase I established an evidence base on Ireland's land types, including environmental, ecological, and economic characteristics, as well as stakeholder information and existing policies. This phase aims to shape future policies. Phase II will build on this evidence, involving stakeholder consultations to develop policies, measures, and actions aligned with the government's economic, social, and climate objectives.
