Development And Piloting Of Smart Green Roof Modular Units With Sensors
This project aims to evaluate the effectiveness of green roofs in reducing stormwater runoff and mitigating flooding in urban areas. By using AquaRoot – NanoPower’s EcoMet, an IoT sensor platform, the project monitors environmental variables on green roofs installed on four buildings in Dublin. These green roofs, provided by Hibernia Real Estate Group and UCD Rosemount, help manage rainfall, reduce pressure on drainage systems, and offer biodiversity benefits.
