Biographical History

Born in Dublin, she was among the cast of the original production of The Playboy of the Western World in 1907. She became an actress with the Abbey Theatre where she remained all her professional life. Performed on six tours of North America with the Abbey.

Archival History

This collection was acquired by UCD Library in January 1980 and was subsequently transferred to UCD Archives in November 1982.

Scope and Content

Material relating to the Abbey Theatre including programmes for productions in which she appeared (1917–68); articles, reviews, press cuttings and commemorative publications concerning the theatre, individual productions and tours of North America by the Abbey Actors (1916–80); photographs of actors (1916–80).
