C MSS: official and quasi-official letters and papers relating to the Irish Franciscans
MSS C 1 to MSS C 103, the earliest manuscripts in this series, dating from the seventeenth century, have been transferred so far. They include chapter bills, letters of obedience, letters from the minister general and his delegates, papers relating to various Irish Franciscan friaries overseas, chronicles, Mass-books and account books of various friaries in Ireland and some colleges abroad, including St Anthony’s College, Louvain and St Isidore’s College, Rome. Highlights of this manuscript series include the foundation letter of St Anthony’s College, Louvain, the commendation for Florence Conry, and a letter of permission to receive fish from Sant Vliet.
