Stage 2
Stage 2 registration
Stage 1 complete:
If you have obtained 60 credits and also completed the subject requirements from stage 1, you will register for your two degree subjects for stage 2. You will need to register for 25 credits in both your subjects (or 30/20 if doing a major/minor combination). This will give you 50 credits. You will also register for 10 credits of electives (or additional options in your two subjects). This will bring your overall total to 60 credits for the year. You must adhere to the curriculum rules and complete any required core modules and the correct number of options. Stage 2 modules will contribute 30% to your overall degree result.
Stage 2 carrying:
A)If you have obtained 50 or 55 credits and also completed the subject requirements from stage 1, you will register for your two degree subjects for stage 2. If you have met the subject requirements for one subject only, please contact the College Office for assistance. However, you will need to priorities finishing any outstanding credits for stage 1 before you move to stage 3 next year in addition to taking stage 2 modules. You will need 25 credits in both your subjects (or 30/20 if doing a major/minor combination). This will give you 50 credits. You will also register for 10 credits of electives (or additional options in your two subjects). You must adhere to the curriculum rules and complete any required core modules and the correct number of options. Stage 2 modules will contribute 30% to your overall degree result.
B) If you have obtained 50 or 55 credits and also completed the subject requirements from stage 1 for one of your degree subjects, you will register for this subject for stage 2. You will need to register for 25 credits in your subject (or 30/20 if doing a major/minor combination). You may be able to select stage 2 modules for your other intended subject by choosing them as electives. Once you have completed the subject requirements for your other subject, you will be able to select it as your other degree subject. You must adhere to the curriculum rules and complete any required core modules and the correct number of options. You will also need to register for your outstanding credits for stage 1. Stage 1 – 55 Programme credits and 5 elective credits = 60 credits
Stage 2 – 50 Programme credits and 10 elective credits = 60 credits
Stage 3 – 50 Programme credits and 10 elective credits = 60 credits
Overall credits required for the degree – 180 credits
