Anne Enright and Margaret Kelleher in Conversation at the Irish Arts Centre NYC
Professor Regina Uí Chollatáin, Principal and Dean of the College of Arts & Humanities, was delighted to welcome alumni, collaborators and friends to this opportunity to hear from one of Ireland’s most celebrated authors in the newly refurbished home for Irish Arts in New York City.
An Evening with Anne Enright, Booker Prize-winning author and Professor of Fiction at UCD, featured Anne in conversation with Professor Margaret Kelleher (UCD School of English, Drama & Film). The conversation included a discussion of and readings from Anne’s celebrated works, including the acclaimed The Gathering, The Green Road, and her latest novel The Wren, The Wren; a story of three generations of women contending with the inheritance of trauma, wonder and love.
A lively evening of readings, storytelling, anecdotes, and writer insights, with spirited engagement and fun-filled memories. Great to meet with so many alumni partners and future students, and to work with the talented team at the Irish Arts Centre. The conversation was followed by a networking reception which reconnected the UCD community in New York.
