Professor Kathleen James-Chakraborty elected board member of the Society of Architectural Historians
Professor Kathleen James-Chakraborty, from the UCD School of Art History and Cultural Policy, has been elected to a three year term as a board member of the Society of Architectural Historians - SAH (Chicago, US) at their Society’s annual conference, held this year in Glasgow, UK (7-11 June).
During the Annual International Conference, Professor James-Chakraborty gave the plenary address on "Architecture, its Histories, and their Audiences" focusing on Kate Cranston, Margaret Brodie, and Zaha Hadid and how their work had been covered in the Glasgow Herald.
The SAH is the premier professional organisation for architectural history; a number of UCD academic including Professor Hugh Campbell, Associate Professor Finola O’Kane, Dr Samantha Martin-MacAuliffe, Associate Professor Lynda Mulvin and Dr Conor Lucey are very active in it.
