Photogrammetry in Research & Pedagogy

This session will offer an overview of current work being undertaken at UCD in the field of photogrammetry (3D scanning of cultural heritage, objects and architecture), discussing its practical applications in both research and teaching. 

Speakers:
Emily Mark-FitzGerald is Associate Professor in Art History and Cultural Policy, where her teaching concerns Irish visual culture & policy from the 19th c - present. She was recently awarded a UCD EQUIP grant to acquire a large teaching collection of photography, and develop a mobile photogrammetry studio. Deborah Buchanan and Martin Moucheron are PhD students in the School of Archaeology, working on Irish Mesolithic PhD projects and utilising photogrammetry as part of their methodology.
