Understanding Plagiarism

(opens in a new window)This lovely module on understanding plagiarism was produced by Munster Technological University (MTU). In it, plagiarism is defined as the 'taking the work or ideas of others and passing them off as your own. This means plagiarism is regarded as stealing.'

The module offers some famous examples of plagiarism including in the art industry and music world. Why not take the module and discover why paintings by Bob Dylan have been accused of plagiarising earlier existing photographs, or why Katy Perry and her record label were ordered to pay musician Marcus Gray $2.78 million following the release of 'Dark Horse'?
