BDIC Representation at IEEE CISP-BMEI 2024 in Shanghai

Wednesday, 6 November, 2024

Dr. Arjun Pakrashi and Dr. Soumyabrata Dev recently represented Beijing-Dublin International College (BDIC) at the 17th IEEE International Congress on Image and Signal Processing, BioMedical Engineering and Informatics (CISP-BMEI 2024) from 26 to 28 October 2024 in Shanghai, China.

At the conference, Dr. Pakrashi and Dr. Dev presented research on solar forecasting, spatial prediction models, and CO₂ emissions monitoring in Ireland. Their work reflects UCD’s commitment to sustainable development and innovative solutions in environmental monitoring. By enhancing models for solar irradiance prediction and CO₂ emissions tracking, their research supports renewable energy optimization and climate resilience planning. These projects align with UCD’s vision of advancing impactful, solution-driven research that addresses global sustainability challenges and benefits public understanding and environmental management.

Dr. Dev shared insights from “A Study on Spatial Prediction Models and Influential Parameters of Deformation in Western Ireland,” while Dr. Pakrashi discussed his work on “Deep Learning-Based Prediction of Short-Term CO₂ Emissions in Ireland.” Their presentations facilitated valuable exchanges with the international research community, highlighting BDIC’s engagement in addressing global challenges.

BDIC remains dedicated to supporting research that addresses important global issues and fosters meaningful collaborations with academic and industry partners.
