Courses for UCD Students and Staff
Gaeltacht UCD provides Irish language courses for those who wish to learn or improve their Irish. All Gaeltacht UCD teaching materials are based on the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) guidelines. It is important to register early for the courses to ensure that you are allocated a place. The following courses are available only to current UCD students and staff.
Teach na Gaeilge UCD 2023-2024 Competition
UCD's mini-Gaeltacht, first established in 2000, offers students a unique experience. Students from various subject areas have the opportunity to live and work together as Gaeilge, while further developing their individual talents through a range of social and cultural activities. Gaeltacht UCD offers scholarships to 24 students who are fluent Irish speakers and who have the desire and the ability to initiate projects which promote the use of the language.
