Jiatao Liu from the Building Energy Informatics Team participated in the ASHRAE 2024 Design Competition where they focused on a new central public library in the heart of São Paulo, Brazil. The final HVAC System Selection and Design for the proposed building addressed the following major design goals:

Comfort and Health
Creative High-Performance Green Design
Synergy (with architecture)
Conor Shaw participated in the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions annual conference, the final of 11 high-level European Commission events of the outgoing Spanish presidency. Of approximately 10,000 researchers currently funded under MSCA, and from a pool of 170 submissions, I am deeply honoured to have been one of 15 finalists to compete in the Science-policy Pitch Competition (Watch back here).
