- Defence and Security Accelerator (DASA) is seeking proposals to develop the technology needed to counter Unmanned Air Systems (C-UAS) and demonstrate how these can be integrated together to form a capable system. Deadline: 21st July 2020. Find out more here.
- DASA has launched a competition called ‘Invisible Shield' which aims to develop and demonstrate a number of novel technologies and techniques in the area of Counter-IED ECM. Find out more here.

Ongoing large funding programmes
- SFI Strategic Partnership supports standalone initiatives of scale with strong potential for delivering economic and societal impact to Ireland. The Programme is open to applications involving strategic opportunities where significant co-funding from a company, collection of companies, funding agency, charity, philanthropic organization or Higher Education Institute is available.
- SFI Spoke links scientists and engineers in partnerships across academia and industry to address crucial research questions, foster the development of new and existing Ireland-based technology companies, attract industry that could make an important contribution to Ireland and its economy, and expand educational and career opportunities in Ireland in science and engineering.
Supporting portfolio programmes
- SFI Discovery supports projects that extend activity and ability in engaging the public in Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths (STEM). Deadline 10th of June 2020.
- US-Ireland R&D Partnership Programme rolling US-Ireland R&D Partnership Programme with a new Cybersecurity theme.
- EPSRC-SFI Joint Funding of Research rolling programme that supports research applications that cut across national boundaries involving collaborative teams led by researchers from the UK and Ireland.
- Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions grants provided are available for all stages of a researcher’s career.
