The Nurse Preceptorship Award is a grant offered by the Irish Cancer Society to support Irish nurses in the field of cancer clinical research. The award provides an opportunity for Irish nurses to travel to international cancer research institutions and gain valuable experience in the field of cancer clinical trials.

Helen and Amy, who were selected from a pool of applicants, are both highly experienced in cancer. They were selected for their dedication to patient care and their commitment to advancing cancer research and trials.

The nurses will spend two weeks at the Princess Margaret Cancer Centre in Toronto, where they will gain valuable experience in the conduct of cancer immunotherapy trials, phase 1/early stage cancer trials, and novel lung cancer trials.

They will also have the opportunity to learn from leading experts in the field of cancer research and bring back their newfound knowledge to benefit patients in Ireland.
