Patient-led Study to Understand the Needs of Metastatic Breast Cancer Patients
We are pleased to share that Siobhan Gaynor, a member of our cluster's advisory committee, has recently launched a patient-led study focusing on metastatic breast cancer. Siobhan, who herself is living with metastatic breast cancer, invites you to participate in an anonymous survey that aims to gain a comprehensive understanding of the needs of patients living with metastatic breast cancer.
Along with a group of patients living with the same diagnosis, Siobhan has collaborated with an interdisciplinary steering committee comprising medical and radiation oncologists, allied health professionals, palliative care staff, and doctors in training. Together, they have designed a comprehensive exploration of the needs and challenges faced by patients with metastatic breast cancer.
This study is conducted in collaboration with Cancer Trials Ireland, as part of their public patient involvement (PPI) initiative in cancer clinical research. By joining forces with Cancer Trials Ireland, the study aims to reach a broader population and facilitate comprehensive data analysis and dissemination of the findings. The partnership is instrumental in enhancing the study's reach and impact.
We wish Siobhan the best of luck with her study.
