Job Opportunities with the UCD Cancer Trials Cluster
The UCD Cancer Trials Cluster is currently recruiting for two research support roles to work with cancer research at St Vincent's University Hospital:
- Cancer Research Support Officer (Ref: 017774)
- Public and Patient Involvement and Engagement (PPIE) Research Officer (Ref: 017771)
The closing date for both posts is 25/10/2024.
The Research Support Officer will provide pre- and post-award study support to clinical and academic colleagues working out of St Vincent’s University Hospital e.g. supporting the preparation of grant applications and approvals, ethical review, data sharing/DPIA, material transfer agreements, etc., and provide signposting to appropriate resources within UCD and its clinical partners. This role will also include data management and support the OECI accreditation process of the Cancer Centre.
The PPIE Research Officer role will focus on supporting cancer clinical research PPIE (Public and Patient Involvement and Engagement) at the UCD Clinical Trials Cluster and the St Vincent’s UCD Cancer Centre. A significant focus of this role will be leading a project to examine how social determinants of health impact cancer research/trial participation and designing a programme of work that addresses barriers experienced by marginalised communities.
