What does Career Ready mean?
Career Ready refers to how ready you, as a student, are for employment and further study opportunities after graduating from UCD.
How does the Career Ready Programme work?
The program is tailored for students at various stages of career readiness, whether they're not yet thinking about their career, have little to some ideas but want to start planning, know what they want to do but are unsure how to achieve it, or already have a clear career path in mind and aim to gain relevant work experience.
Students that have registered to the Career Ready Programme will complete an online programme over the course of the year that is tailored to their college and current level of career readiness, while being supported by a dedicated Career & Skills Consultant through career coaching.
As spaces are limited, we ask that all participants commit to 2-3 in-person career coaching sessions during the AY24/25, and that they complete all relevant mandatory activities in the Career Ready Programme. These activities are self-paced, offering you the flexibility to complete it according to your schedule, and may include online research, self-reflection, job application preparation, and other activities.
