The UCD Centre for Common Law in Europe provides a focus in the EU for research into the common law. The Centre showcases top-class research (particularly on the interplay of the common law and EU law) from the UCD Sutherland School of Law and provides a forum for dialogue on interesting common law issues.  The Centre offers a supportive research platform with outreach to universities in other common law jurisdictions including Australia, Canada, Cyprus, Hong Kong SAR, India, Malta, New Zealand, Singapore and the United States.

UCD Sutherland School of Law has a rich tradition in hosting top scholars from around the world. Sutherland Fellows enrich the School’s academic environment and make invaluable contributions to its research and teaching. The UCD Centre for Common Law in Europe welcomes preliminary enquiries from academics at all levels whose proposed research plans engage with the common law.
