New teacher welcomed to CDIC

Dr Yuansheng Hu, Assistant Professor, School of Civil Engineering
Dr Yuansheng Hu is an Assistant Professor in the UCD School of Civil Engineering. His primary teaching and research area is Water and Environmental Engineering. Dr. Hu joined the School of Civil Engineering as an Assistant Professor in July 2023. Prior to that, he was a faculty member at the Department of Civil Engineering & Construction, Atlantic Technological University Sligo (2022-2023). Dr. Hu also worked as a faculty member at the Department of Municipal Engineering, Beijing University of Civil Engineering and Architecture (2012-2017).
Dr. Hu’s research interests include:
- Biological wastewater treatment
- Biosolids treatment and valorisation
- Microalgae biotechnology
- Constructed wetlands
In CDIC Dr Hu will be teaching Environmental Engineering Fundamentals (CVEN2003W)
