UCD delegation visited HAUST

UCD delegation visited Henan University of Science and Technology (HAUST)

UCD academics were invited by Prof Lin Wang, the Dean of the School of Civil Engineering, to attend their "HAUST International Symposium" from March 30th to March 31st.

The symposium was all about bringing together experts in Civil and Energy Engineering, both locally and internationally. We had a fantastic lineup of speakers, including some of HAUST's finest professors and students. Our team, consisting of Dr Catherine MacKenzie, Dr Wang Xuehui, Dr Anton van Beek, Dr Muhammad Sajid, Dr Md Salauddin, Dr Luke Kelleher, Dr Liana Ricci, and Xu Xihang, was thrilled to be part of it.

Catherine MacKenzie took the lead in introducing UCD to our hosts. Each researcher from UCD had the chance to present our research in the parallel sessions, sparking discussions about potential collaborations. We also had the privilege to have a lab tour after the research-presentation session, an excellent chance to chat with the HAUST team members and see their research facilities. It was an invaluable experience that really deepened our understanding of each other's work and opened up exciting possibilities for future collaborations.
