We welcome CHD PhD student Huitian Liu

Wednesday, 6 March, 2024

My name is Huitian Liu, and I am a Ph.D. student from Chang'an University in China. Under the academic bridge between Chang'an University and University College Dublin, I will be studying in Dublin for one year under the guidance of Professor Luke Kelleher UCD Environmental Policy. My co-supervisor in Dublin is Professor Li Ming, the Dean of the Confucius Institute. During my time in Ireland, I will dedicate myself to the cutting-edge fields of transportation and environmental policy. My research focuses include the life cycle analysis of road traffic carbon emissions, the environmental assessment of policies promoting new energy vehicles, and aims to build more efficient and eco-friendly transportation models through the comprehensive use of traffic policy analysis, data statistics, and algorithm development. The in-depth cooperation between Chang'an University and University College Dublin, along with the joint efforts in the field of transportation engineering between the two locations, provides me with a rich resource and platform for my academic exploration. I believe that this year of study and research will significantly advance my expertise in the field of transportation engineering and environmental protection.

Welcome in UCD, Huitian!
