RECUGI: Reducing Emissions through Compact Urban Growth in Ireland

The RE-CUGI project advocates for compact urban growth to foster sustainable, lively, and resilient communities by quantifying the carbon impacts of neighborhoods and infrastructure. It develops pre-planning and planning tools for assessing carbon impacts, aiding policymakers, planners, green finance providers, and building design professionals in designing low carbon developments. Supporting the Climate Action Plan, RE-CUGI aims to promote the compact growth agenda in Ireland’s villages, towns, and cities.
