We are delighted to seek expressions of interest in hosting the next ISGHR Conference on Hunting and Gathering Societies: CHAGS14 to be held in the summer of 2025.
The host will be chosen by election by ISGHR members at the ISGHR general meeting, to be held during CHAGS13 (Subscribed ISHGR members who can’t attend will have an opportunity for remote voting).
Potential hosts should submit a 1-2 page vision for CHAGS14, confirmation of proposed timing, indicative costs or registration/accommodation, details of the host environment AND a letter of institutional support. These should be sent to(opens in a new window)chags13@ucd.ieand will initially be reviewed and any queries raised by the Local Organising Committee. Following this review, potential hosts will be provided a five-minute opportunity at the General Meeting to present their case to membership. Potential hosts should note that CHAGS is a fairly financially independent event, and is not supported by any substantive ISGHR funding.
Any queries especially around finances or hosting CHAGS, please contact(opens in a new window)graeme.warren@ucd.iefor informal discussion.
