The skin is our body's largest organ. The condition of skin can have an enormous impact on our health and well-being. Moreover, the skin and hair follicle are our most accessible tissues for biomedical research and study.
Here at the Charles Institute of Dermatology we collaborate with internal and external partners to co-develop technologies in the skin/hair healthcare and personal care sectors.
We also develop our own in-house intellectual property. Researchers in the UCD Charles Institute can provide consultancy services to the public and private sectors.
