CHAS Teaching and Learning Awards 2024
On December 10th 2024, the College Principal hosted an event to acknowledge staff excellence and contribution to teaching and learning. The 2023-24 College Teaching Awards, 264 faculty and staff were nominated by over 600 students and over 50 staff members, with 47 colleagues from across the College of Health and Agricultural Sciences (CHAS) going on to submit applications for one of the two award categories i.e. a Teaching Excellence Award or an Exceptional Contribution to Learning Award.
The adjudication panel, chaired by the College Principal and with representation from across the College, which included past University level award recipients, considered all applications against the award criteria and are delighted to now formally recognise these colleagues, their contributions to the student learning experience, and their part in ensuring excellence and innovation in teaching, learning, and assessment continues to be at the heart of CHAS. It is important also to recognise those who applied for awards but were unsuccessful on this occasion, all of whom demonstrated their enthusiasm for teaching and learning. This was a highly competitive process with only a limited number of awards available.
