Fei Yuan is an Assistant Professor at the Irish Institute for Chinese Studies at UCD. He currently teaches Chinese linguistics and Chinese language pedagogy to postgraduate students at the Institute. Before joining UCD, he taught Chinese language and culture at Tsinghua University, the London School of Economics and Political Science, and the University of Cambridge.
Fei Yuan received his PhD from the Faculty of Asian and Middle Eastern Studies at Cambridge. His thesis investigates the second language acquisition and processing of Chinese nominal phrases by speakers of classifier and non-classifier languages.
Fei Yuan's research interests include second language acquisition, Chinese linguistics, generative grammar, and psycholinguistics.

袁飞博士是都柏林大学爱尔兰中国研究院的助理教授,他目前在研究院讲授汉语语言学和汉语教学法的研究生课程。在此之前,他曾在清华大学、伦敦政治经济学院和剑桥大学教授汉语与中国文化。
袁飞博士在剑桥大学亚洲与中东研究学部获得博士学位,他的博士论文探究了量词与非量词语言母语者对汉语名词短语的二语习得和加工。
袁飞博士的研究兴趣包括二语习得、汉语语言学、生成语法和心理语言学。
