School Overview and Background 学院及专业背景简介

都柏林大学爱尔兰中国研究院成立于2006 年 1 月，是爱尔兰第一所专业的中国语言文化研究教学和培训为一体的学院，拥有经验丰富的优秀师资团队。中国研究院提供各类本科和研究生学位课程，旨在携手爱尔兰政府、商界、学术界共同推进中爱两国教育、文化、商业的合作与发展。中文国际教育硕士专业自2016年开始招生，现新推出针对中文是母语的学生，接收2022年9月入学学生提交申请。该项目的亮点包括学习期间可组织 “国际汉语教师资格证书”的考核和研究院教师指导安排学生在爱尔兰本地中学实习的机会。中文已经被纳入“爱尔兰高考”的可选科目之一，中国是爱尔兰在亚洲第一大贸易伙伴，日益增长的中爱贸易都促进学习中文成为爱尔兰各大企业的需求。爱尔兰未来对教授中文的人才需求也会日益增加。

Programme Overview 课程简介

Provides Mandarin Teaching and research courses to enhance professional and academic capabilities of Mandarin educators. The programme is housed within the Irish Institute for Chinese Studies and is in collaboration with the Applied Language Centre at UCD. Through interdisciplinary training, the programme:

此课程意在培养中文教学专业知识和学术能力兼备的国际汉语教学人才。中文国际教育硕士的专任教师以爱尔兰中国研究院为主，并融合了都柏林大学教育学院和应用语言中心的优秀师资和课程内容，有针对性地对学生的汉语教学、外语和跨文化交际能力以及管理能力等进行培养。 专业特色包括：

1) Provides a strong foundation in Chinese language pedagogy and language education; 学生将扎实掌握汉语教学的理论与方法；

2) Developes advanced competence in English; 全面提升学生在英语的听、说、读、写、译能力；

3) Facilitates teaching practice in secondary schools under the supervision of IICS faculty. 课程会提供在研究院专业教师的指导下在本地中学进行的课堂教学实践机会。

Duration 学制

One-year full-time (Level 9, 90 ECT credits). 全职一年

The Irish Third Level Graduate scheme exists to allow non-EEA graduates who hold a level 9 award to remain in Ireland after their studies for a period of 24 months. Details can be accessed (opens in a new window)here.

爱尔兰政府为国际留学生提供“毕业生签证”，硕士毕业生能够获得两年毕业生签证。这期间同学们可以在爱尔兰自由合法居留及工作。留学爱尔兰不仅可以获得世界名校文凭还可以收获国际化的工作经验。

Qualification Awarded

For the students who have successfully completed the programme, an award GPA is calculated and a MA in Teaching Chinese Language and Culture is awarded.

Entry requirements 录取条件

• 2.1 honours degree at level 8 (or equivalent) in teaching Chinese to speakers of other languages, Chinese languages and literature or any other relevant subject area; 
• IELTS: An average score of 6.5 over all components and a minimum of 6.0 in each band on the Academic Version;
• TOEFL (iBT): a minimum score of 90 is required with no less than 21 in writing and at least 19 in every other section; 
• Duolingo English Test (DET): Overall Score of 120 with at least 110 in each Subscore
• Native / near-native level of Mandarin Chinese (i.e., HSK5 or above).

• 具有人文学科的本科毕业文凭和学士学位，平均成绩达到70%以上；
• 雅思成绩总分在6.5及以上，各单项不低于6；
• 托福总分在90以上，其中写作不低于21，其它单项不低于19；
• 多邻国英语测试（DET）成绩120分以上，单项不低于110；
• 中文达到或接近母语水平（HSK5或以上）。

Scholarships 奖学金

All admitted non-EU students of 2024/25 entry who are paying €22,600 tuition fees will be awarded a scholarship of €2,500 which can partially cover the tuition fees (Students paying EU fees cannot avail of this scholarship).
