Dr Adwoa Serwaa Ofori

Post-Doctoral Researcher

Adwoa Serwaa Ofori’s research background is in African development, focusing on land and rural livelihoods. Her PhD in Geography is from Trinity College Dublin. Her research was entitled ‘The Land of the Chiefs and the Land of the State: What happens after an acquisition in Ghana?’ and comparatively examined the livelihood implications of large-scale land acquisitions within and across rural communities as well as the impacts to the adjacent locality using Ghana as a case study. She also has Masters’ degrees in Water and Environmental Management (Loughborough University UK) and Project Management (the University of Greenwich UK). Her research interests include sustainability, community engagement and rural livelihoods.

Dominic Robinson

Research Assistant with responsibility for GeoSpatial Analysis & Infrastructure

Dominic is a GeoSpaial Specialist working out of the School of Geography at University College Dublin. Associated research projects include InPLACE, GeoWestCoast, Citizen Rural & CUPHAT. With a foot in both Historical Geography and Rural Development Dom has developed his skills as a GIS expert across multiple fields.

Caroline Crowley

Caroline Crowley, PhD. – Principal at Crowley Research

Caroline is an independent researcher with a background in the natural and social sciences, who works with frontline organisations active in social services, community development and nature conservation. Her aim is to help their vital work supporting individuals, families, communities and nature. Caroline’s interests increasingly focus on care relations and a socio-economic system that truly values and rewards care for one another, nature and our collective future through the lens of Partnerism.

Dr Breandán Ó Caoimh

Dr Breandán Ó Caoimh is a Kerry-based human geographer and social scientist with a practitioner background in rural development. He is an independent consultant working in the fields of social research, local development, community planning, evaluation, project management and organisational change. As an academic, he was a senior lecturer in geography and director of quality in Mary Immaculate College, University of Limerick. He has also worked, in an advisory capacity, with public bodies and civil society organisations in several countries. Breandán has considerable national and international experience in academic, policy and practitioner settings. He is an active volunteer with a number of community, environmental and cultural organisations.
