Award for Jennifer Keenahan from the Institute of Civil Engineers
Tuesday, 8 November, 2022
Dr Jennifer Keenahan and her co-authors were awarded the Infrastructure Asset Management prize from the Institute of Civil Engineers (ICE) at the annual Awards Ceremony 2022 in London for their paper on the “Investigation of the helicopter downwash effect on pedestrian comfort using CFD”. This paper was a collaboration with Arup Consulting Engineers arising from client inquiries on the implications of helipads in low-rise city environments. The primary research was completed by a cross disciplinary team of two masters students in Civil and Mechanical Engineering as part of their research thesis.
