1st Place in the IEEE GRSS Data Fusion Contest to 3 researchers from the School of Civil Engineering.

Three Researchers from the UCD School of Civil Engineering, Vu Vo, Linh Truong-Hong, and Debra Laefer have been awarded first place in the IEEE GRSS Data Fusion Contest: Processing of Extremely High Resolution LiDAR and RGB Data and as a result were featured on the cover of (opens in a new window)JSTARS.

The IEEE GRSS Data Fusion Contest, organized by the Image Analysis and Data Fusion Technical Committee, aims at promoting progress on fusion and analysis methodologies for multisource remote sensing data.  Submissions to the contest are scientific papers presenting the research work done on their data, in this case 'Aerial laser scanning and imagery data fusion for road detection in city scale'.
