Who are the Dignity and Respect Support Colleagues?
The panel of Dignity and Respect Support Colleagues are fully trained employees appointed on a voluntary basis by the President. This panel is available to UCD employees.
Role of the Support Colleagues
The Support Colleague acts as a listening ear and can provide:
- non-directive and non-judgemental support
- information to employees experiencing difficulties of a bullying, harassment and/or sexual misconduct nature on a strictly confidential basis
- information on the range of informal options and supports available
- an explanation of the formal procedures
Dignity and Respect Support Colleagues do not advocate on behalf of any employee or student or get involved in any formal complaint.
