National Health Summit 2024 - AI_PREMie lead Patricia Maguire joins distinguished panel

Prof Patricia Maguire joined a distinguished panel to discuss digital transformation in healthcare at the 20th anniversary National Health Summit in Croke Park on February 7th.
In a discussion chaired by RTE broadcaster Audrey Carville, Prof Maguire shared the stage with three eminent hospital chief information officers, Prof Neil O’Hare, Robert Forde and Robbie Cline.
She spoke about AI_PREMie and plans to take the new test for the pregnancy complication preeclampsia global in 2024. UCD’s Institute for Discovery and AI Healthcare Hub will play a crucial role in shaping discussions around maternal health and the vision for healthcare in 2024.
The National Health Summit marks 20 years of progress and challenges in Irish healthcare.
The event focussed on adapting to future challenges such as an ageing population, the prevalence of chronic health conditions, the shift towards a prevention-first approach, harnessing innovation to transform patient care and attracting and retaining healthcare professionals.
Attendees enjoyed an engaging and informative platform to discuss the past, present, and future of Ireland's healthcare system, fostering dialogue and collaboration for continued progress.
